We believe that change can save lives. And change begins on our plates. With more plant-based food on our plate, we can combat several of the most pressing problems in today’s society: We save the environment from enormous strains, prevent several of the most common lifestyle diseases and help animals suffering in factory farms.

That is why Grønn Framtid changes thousands of meals in Norwegian schools every year, while Tromsø VegFest – Northern Norway’s Veggie Festival as well as Bergen VegFest – Western Norway’s Veggie Festival and our Plant Power Challenge inspire thousands of people to eat more plant-based. Furthermore, we cooperate with companies through V-Label. And now we are looking for YOU who want to join and inspire thousands of people at Tromsø & Bergen VegFest! Do you want to be part of this exciting and important development?

As social media manager & assistant at Tromsø & Bergen VegFest you are a superstar at promoting Tromsø & Bergen VegFest and more plant-based food on social media! You love to be creative to produce quality content for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn that engages and reaches new audiences. You analyze data and improve our social media channels – so that we become even better at creating change! Moreover you might get involved with other organisational tasks at Tromsø & Bergen VegFest – and together we are creating Northern Norway’s and Western Norway’s most delicious festival!

This is the perfect position for you who:

• Identifies with Grønn Framtids vision
• Is creative and can communicate well
• Would like to learn, is open to adapt to change and would like to grow with us!
• Speaks English and preferably Norwegian
• Desirable: You have experience with videography, professional social media management and/or Canva

Work place: Preferably Tromsø or Bergen, but with a possibility to work remotely if necessary. We therefore accept applications from the whole country. Applicants from Tromsø & Bergen are preferred though.

Working hours: 20 % – 30 % position for 5 months with flexible working hours. You can expect to have a higher workload in March & April than in December.

We would appreciate it if you have knowledge in plant-based foods, animal welfare or environmental protection or festival or social media management, but we value other qualities and personal suitability even higher!

In the application, we want you to solve the following task: Imagine Tromsø VegFest reaches a lot of vegetarians and vegans, but struggles to reach out to our target group: flexitarians and others. How would you reach out to that target group? Create a plan with at least three social media posts and send us your result by e-mail. The posts should include everything necessary (e.g. text, photo, hashtags, …). If we like your posts we might use them “in real life” 🙂
